About using a treadmill desk
What is a treadmill desk and how does it work?
A treadmill Desk is comprised of two parts a walking treadmill platform and a height adjustable desk, these can be sold together (models ending DT5 & DT7) or a treadmill platform can just be purchased (models ending DT3) and used with an existing height adjustable desk. You simply place the treadmill base under your desk, switch on and walk whilst you work.
Why would I want to walk whilst working?
The simple answer is that regular walking in place of sitting will be beneficial to your health. Human beings aren’t designed to be seated for long periods of time; in fact it’s very bad for us. Over the last 10 years changes to how we work mean office workers are becoming more sedentary. Email, less filing of papers and an increase in call centre type roles are all contributing to the problem. Taking into account sitting whilst commuting, eating and relaxing in the evenings can mean we spend just 5 hours per day on our feet.
Can I work properly whilst walking at a desk?
Yes you can! Once you’ve found your ideal pace the walking very quickly becomes secondary to the work you are doing. In fact, you may be surprised by the amount of distance you’ve covered before you even look down at the display.
How long will my treadmill desk take to arrive?
Once you have placed an order we will contact you to arrange a suitable date for delivery. This is usually within 7-10 working days but is subject to stock availability and geographical location. You can also have your treadmill desk installed by one of our friendly team, delivery and installation is typically 2-3 weeks.
Do the treadmills require maintenance?
Our TR5000 model requires no maintenance and is designed to run for 10 hours per day. The TR1200 and TR800 models are designed for 6 and 3 hours per day usage respectively and require lubrication every 3 months.
Is my product covered by warranty?
All of our products are covered by differing levels of warranty depending on the model that you have purchased. Warranty details are listed under the description of each product in the store. You will also find details of your warranty in your user manual which will be shipped along with your treadmill desk.
