Workout at Work Day: Coming Soon!

Launched by the Chartered Institute of Physiotherapists, Workout at Workday has steadily grown over the years with more and more businesses getting involved.

The CSP launched W@WD in 2011 in order to increase levels of physical activity amongst employees during the working day, and to inspire staff to move more and address poor work habits, such as not taking regular breaks. The aim of the day is to improve public health, reduce sickness absence and promote the important role which physiotherapy plays in keeping people 'fit for work'.

On W@WD hundreds of physiotherapists and physiotherapy staff run events in different workplaces and public spaces across the UK, in order to promote the health benefits of physical activity in the workplace.

If you would like to get involved in this years Workout at Work Day which is scheduled for June (DateTBC) contact us about hiring one of our fantastic treadmill desks!

On average, the scalp has 100,000 hairs that cycle through periods of growing, resting, falling out, and regenerating.

  • Hair growth typically completes a cycle in 2 to 3 years. Each hair grows approximately 1 centimeter per month during this phase. About 90% of the hair on your scalp is growing at any one time. About 10% of the hair on your scalp, at any one time, is in a resting phase. After 3 to 4 months, the resting hair falls out and new hair starts to grow in its place.

  • Loss of vision is considered sudden if it develops within a few minutes to a couple of days. It may affect one or both eyes and all or part of a field of vision. Loss of only a small part of the field of vision (for example, as a result of a small retinal detachment) may seem like blurred vision.

  • You’ll usually need to use an antifungal treatment that you put directly onto your skin. These are known as topical treatments. There are a variety of treatments available in the form of creams, lotions, paints, shampoos, pessaries and medicated powders. Some of these are available over the counter from a pharmacist so you don’t necessarily need to see your doctor to get a prescription.
